G-Man Playlist of the Day : Covers Special
I was speaking or, to be more accurate, facebooking a friend of mine yesterday and we were speaking of Counting Crows playing the O2 last Friday. A former fan, the last straw being that horrible cover of Joni Mitchell’s Big Yellow Taxi, but not usually a fan of cover songs released on albums in general my little brain began to compile my own list of favourite cover songs from over the years.
I intentionally attempted to side-step the usual Hallelujahs etc but some are are just to damn good to leave out. As it is a special I decided to go with 20 tracks on this playlist so happy listening….

Dear Prudence is a really nice version actually. i tried to stay away from a number of the well known ones like cash/bowie & jagger/clash/cocker etc but now i feel like adding them all in!!!
