AC/DC Rock Punchestown

Rock ‘n’ Roll eh? No matter what age you are if you have the will and the enthusiasm to rock not one creature on this planet can stop you and Brian Johnson and co. can really…really…..rock.

The steamroller that still is AC/DC smashed into Punchestown with their opener Rock ‘n’ Roll Train instantly dispelling the horrendous experience of making it to the venue. However a train usually comes to a halt when it crashes but not this one.

Classics and new tracks from the Black Ice album were belted out one after the other to create a momentum very rarely witnessed at a rock concert.

Add in some gimmicks such as the train backdrop onstage itself; the lowering of the gigantic bell to Hells Bells; and the appearance of a monstrous Rosie just kept pushing the runaway locomotive down the hill.

An encore of Highway To Hell & For Those About To Rock ended the night spectacularly.

MCD and Dublin Bus may not know their arse from their elbow but AC/DC know exactly how everything fits together and how to take it apart again
