Everyone heads off to festivals during the summer with their list of must-sees but one of the best parts of festival-going is the journey home with the wonderful memory of seeing a band/artist totally unexpected.
Of course you will promise everyone that you are going to buy the said artists entire back catalogue the second you get home (which very rarely happens) but the thrill of something completely new and different is one of the most exciting aspects of music in general.
One guy in particular that stood out for me was the mentalist that is, Bob Log III.
An egotistical, masked, one-man band that is as much Bill Hicks as he is a technically gifted slide guitarist with the key word always : Entertainment.
Monsieur Log’s Irish dates include the Spirit Storein Dundalk on the 24th, Twisted Pepper in Dublin on the 26th and the Crane Lane Theatre in Cork on the 28th of September.
Go. Listen. Laugh.
