Festival Season

As soon I mention festival season (see yesterdays link to Bestival) an Irish festival announces its intentions.

The Smithwicks Kilkenny Rhythm & Roots Festival will take place over the May bank holiday weekend (30th April-3rd May) and, although going itself for a number of years now will take full advantage of the continuing absence of the Mullingar Midlands Music festival.

The first announcement revealed the following acts will make an appearance in May :

– Josh Ritter

– The Duke and The King

– Chris Smither

– Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit
– Jason & The Scorchers
– The Band Of Heathens

and many more.

Tickets are sold separately for each gig so prices currently vary from €10-€30
