G-Man Gig of the Week : Mountain Man

This weeks gig of the week takes place on July 2nd in The Crawdaddy in Dublin.

Molly Erin Sarle, Alexandra Sauser-Monnig & Amelia Randall Meath’s Mountain Man will take to the stage to perform the last show of the Vermont bands European tour.

An act flying high on a lot of hype the threesome have just played Glastonbury and released their debut album Made The Harbor just over a week ago.

“The Next Big Thing”, “The New Mumford & Sons” and various other annoying, clichéd tags are being applied but honestly this band are worth checking out for their stripped down show and old-school harmonies. Success is coming but hopefully not in the overly-saturated way that Mumford & Sons are being pushed on us. Folk songs are not meant to be played extremely loud on the radio every ten minutes!!!!!
