Forbidden Fruit or Cork X Southwest
Friends exist to help you back up when you are down, to raise a smile and not a frown. Festival-goers were facing a huge dilemma this bank holiday weekend with a choice between seeing legends such as Patti Smith and Echo & The Bunnymen, young upstarts Yuck, as well as Jape, Interference and more in the beautiful settings of Liss Ard or the electronic delights of Aphex Twin and Caribou, the experience that is The Flaming Lips, or the incendiary rock that is Battles not to mention Wild Beasts, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Richer Collective folks and more on the grounds of the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham.
Luckily for me I have friends that organize events on these weekends so I have no need to worry about making such a choice. Lucky, lucky G.
