The G-Man Gig of the Week

Sunday June 26th will see Fleet Foxes play an Irish-exclusive show for Harmonic as part of 2011’s Cork Live At The Marquee gigs.

The show will see the fivesome, who play Glastonbury 2011 a couple of days beforehand, play material from Helplessness Blues which was just released at the end of April as well as some of their more famous tunes from the 2008 eponymous smash which catapulted  the band (what is essentially an indie-folk band) into the limelight.

Also on the bill are Owen Pallett (formerly known as Final Fantasy) who pops up regularly on the bi-weekly G-Man Playlist of the Day and Agnes Obel (who has featured on the blog before the announcement) with the latter possibly making my shortlist for Best Albums of 2011 (if I can confirm when the album was actually released in Ireland!) with her debut release Philharmonics.

Tickets are still available for the triple-header and are priced at a fairly reasonable €39.20 (including booking fee).
