A Year In Sound : 4AD – The Best of 2011
Now is right about the time that the “Best Ofs” will start to pile up in staggering numbers so it is kind of nice when there is at least a theme to the list.
4AD pretty much have no choice but to fill their end of year playlists with music created by their own children but, when those kiddies happen to include the likes of Atlas Sound, Iron & Wine, Bon Iver, tUnE-yArDs etc., this is no reason to complain.
