Cork Gig Guide January 9th-15th

The first few weeks of the new year are notoriously sparse for high profile gigs as promoters and artists/bands alike try to run off the excess “cake” devoured over the festive period. However the coming weekend sparkles with one particular gem of a gig in the form of The Certain Three tour with the Cork leg of the ten date tour taking in the Half Moon Theatre on Saturday and Pine Lodge down Myrtleville way on Sunday.
Katie Kim (who is set to release Cover & Flood – the follow up to her glorious debut Twelve – at the end of January), The Lost Brothers (who released their own new album – So Long John Fante – at the end of 2011 which features members of Old Crow Medicine Show and was produced by Brendan Benson) and Isle of Wight songsmith Puzzle Muteson (whose own debut En Garde, while I am name-dropping, was recorded with Nico Muhly) – all for just €10/€12 is a bit of a snip.

Thanks for the comment Greg. Are you referring to The Lost Brothers? Excellent band live. Laser-accurate harmonies on the night I saw them
