New Shins song
News of The Shins‘ new album broke before Christmas (see here) but all we had to go on was a track-list, a release date and, of course, the title – Port of Morrow.
At last we finally have some new music to listen to with the appearance recently of a fancy audio player on the home page of the official website. Psychadelic organ and an effects-laden James Mercer vocal leads into a rhythm that for a brief moment sounds like a happy Doors! On first listen it seems The Shins are, thankfully, back with a bang.
Stream ‘Simple Song’, the second track from Port of Morrow which is set for a March 2012 release. In other news The Shins have been added to the silly good Coachella 2012 line-up featuring Radiohead, Bon Iver, Cat Power, The Black Keys.
