As Above :: So Below Premiere in Cork Opera House
In June last year (2011) four artists and a few dozen spectators clambered down 88 steps into the murky depths of the Mitchelstown Caves for what can only be described as a unique night of entertainment.
Myles O’Reilly was one such cave dweller that Summer and the Irish film maker, aka Juno Falls – no stranger to the Irish music scene himself, just happened to have his trusty camera with him on both nights.
The three times iMTV award winner (Best Irish Director’ in 2010, Video of The Year and Best Female Video in 2011) has amassed a wealth of beautiful footage in a relatively short space of time including Icelandic melody magicians Amiina‘s performance at Dun Laoghaire’s 2010 Festival of World Cultures, Kentuckian songsmith Daniel Martin Moore and Conor O’Brien’s Ivor Novello award winning Villagers.

As Above :: So Below, the resulting film/documentary from the expedition into “The Cave” featuring Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, Lisa Hannigan, Duke Special and James Vincent McMorrow is set to be premiered at Cork Opera House on Thursday, 16th February and, wouldn’t you know it, The G-Man has two tickets to give away.
