Competion: Win tickets to Jape in Cork
The last time I caught electro-pop redneck Jape he was bopping about in the Spiegeltent – see here for full review – and, to be perfectly honest, I did quite a bit of bopping myself! Admittedly, it was a lot warmer then but I am sure the perfectly good heating in The Pav on February 16th will not hamper the potential bopability (probably a word) of Richie Egan and co.’s first visit to Cork of the new year.
2012 has begun with a bang with a performance at Groningen’s annual showcase Eurosonic already under the belt and the post Valentine gig on Carey’s Lane will see the Dublin trio bursting out tracks from the 2008 Choice Music Prize winning Ritual and last year’s Ocean Of Frequency and – as the very leading title of this post suggests – I have two tickets to give away with the latest competition coming courtesy of The Pavilion on Carey’s Lane.
