TPOE tweeted the link to this private Bella Union stream so I am happy to pass on the poorly kept “secret”. Members of both Fleet Foxes and The Christmas Cards are involved in a collaboration that doesn’t exactly see either group veer dramatically away from their day jobs with “morning”, “perfect” and “Sunday” three words you can expect to hear used quite a lot in reviews.
Christian Wargo, Casey Wescott (Fleet Foxes), Ian and Peter Murray The Christmas Cards are Poor Moon, a long distance project between the four, who have been trading demos back and forth since 2008. Their output will finally see the light of day with the release of Illusion – a five track EP – on Bella Union also home to Wargo and Wescott’s other little hobby with UK e-zine The Line of Best Fit premiering the recordings for a few days only so get listening.
