“A weekend of blues, country, krautrock, stoner rock, electro, cajun, psych-folk, honky tonk, anti-folk & punk gospel.”

Southern Gothic returns to The Crane Lane Theatre for another year this weekend as a dozen incredible international artists descend upon Phoenix Street. See below for a short note on who’s who of the 2012 line-up for Southern Gothic.

Why?: Because shoegaze sheriffs Nick Benton and Lucy Wilson – aka Carousels – are going to shoot the whole shebang off in fuzzy, distorted style.

Why?: “K-X-P mixes electronics, kraut, noise, rock and even rockabilly into a hypnotic and minimalistic motorik groove”. This Finnish trio are going to do delightfully nasty things to the Crane Lane’s theatre walls.
