Shovels and Rope

It’s not often you hear a band that make you smile so when I heard Shovels & Rope for the first time the top of my head nearly fell off a grin spread so far across my face.

A dirty tonk duo excelling in delightfully sloppy swamp music is what Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst are with the twosome set to release new record O’ Be Joyful later this year. The making of the album was documented along the way so expect a film/documentary around the same time with an outtake available to watch below. I just love them!
