New music: You Kiss By The Book
Country-carving critters You Kiss By The Book launched a new record in the capital recently (recap here) and folks can now take a listen on the interweb via the quintet's official bandcamp.
Recorded throughout 2011 and mixed at Storm Studios, Family Tree is the third record from the Simon Dowling-spearheaded fivesome*. Wrapping winsome words in a dusty, travel-torn blanket of uncomplicated-yet-alluring melodies all tied loosely together by a sun-bleached bow of intelligent arrangement, Family Tree is a welcome addition to the growing list of americana/alt-country records beginning to pop up on the Irish music scene.
*excluding constant stream of friends and session players
