Session: Poor Moon at End of the Road

Poor Moon at End of the Road 2012

Poor Moon pay respectful nods to the past on all their recordings and there’s nothing more old-school than playing a washboard in the middle of a woods. Recorded at End of the Road by those lovely folks over at The Line of Best Fit, the Seattle-ites, who of course hoard a couple of Fleet Foxes in their midst, recited woodland versions of ‘Phantom Light’ and ‘Holiday’.

Those of you who have read the Friday review of End of the Road will have been left in no doubt of my admiration for the foursome who followed up a superb debut EP (Illusion) with an excellent first full length, their eponymously titled 2012 release, Poor Moon.
