London pals: The Altered Hours and The Oscillation in The Waiting Room

The Oscillation
The Altered Hours

Shoegaze psych-soldiers The Altered Hours join kindred spirits The Oscillation for an anything-but-sweet double-header of scuzzy garage pop in London’s The Waiting Room.

The Cork quintet’s Downstream EP is one of the best DIY Irish releases in recent years with work on a full-length heavily underway, reportedly being recorded in Berlin with German friends, obviously wooed by the fivesome’s timeless sound.

Led by songwriter and guitarist Demian Castellano, London-based The Oscillation are as prone to mixing pop with drone on their creative palette as their Cork counterparts, resulting in some viscerally daubed sonic tapestries. November 17th. Inscribe, scratch it or cut this one into your diary as it’s going to be fuzzy and frantic.
