Perennial lovers of the avant-garde and the experimental, the Vicky Langan-led Black Sun have announced they will return to promoting the odd show here and there with "gut-arresting" Geordie Richard Dawson's visit to Cork on Friday, 8th March. It has also been confirmed that the incomparable Daniel Higgs will return for the second year straight with May 4th pencilled in for Mr. Lungfish himself. No venue as of yet.

On a side note, at a Black Sun/Mike Gangloff show last March, the Pelt-man teamed up with David Colohan (of Raising Holy Sparks) and Vicky herself to play a short piece as part of the show's finale. A connection was obviously made as they were back together again to perform at Newcastle's Tusk Festival in October. Now named Meitheal, a collection of recordings from these two shows have been released under the title: Early in the Spring, Late in the Fall. Available for just €5, the limited edition release is available from Irish-based cassette label Fort Evil Fruit.
