Dirty Weekender 3

The third annual Dirty Weekender line-up has been revealed…

Doom-prog princes Rest had already announced they would hold the album launch for second full length release I Hold The Wolf in the Carey’s Lane venue and now the word is out that the Saturday spectacle is to be the meat in an electronic sandwich with Toby Kaar, Young Wonder and more all bringing the beats throughout the Valentine’s weekend.

The four day haul will also see a Nialler9-hosted (with the Dublin blogger/editor/promoter also taking to the decks later that evening) featuring electronic wunderkind Mmoths‘ first visit to Cork city since 2010 (I think – first with full live band anyways).

The programme details are as follows:

Thursday 14th February (6pm in the bar: FREE)
Toby Kaar (DJ set)
Midnight Marauders
Almighty Sion (live)
Feel Good Lost (visuals)

Friday 15th February (10pm : €8 pre-sale/€10 on door)

MMOTHS
Young Wonder

Saturday 16th February (9pm : €7 pre-sale/€8 on door)

followed by THE CRUCIAL PARTY

Sunday 17th February (9pm in the bar: FREE)

UPDATE:
Banter with Jim Carroll has been added as a Saturday afternoon event. Join the Irish Times journalist, James Whelton (CoderDojo), Niamh O’Mahony (journalist, former board member of FORAS and Cork City FC and project manager of an EC-funded Improving Football Governance project in Ireland), Mary Nally (Drop Everything) and Mark Carry (Fractured Air) for a chat about anything and everything at 1.30pm.
