Connecticut sisters Anna and Catherine Wolk’s Velveteens triangular “sad girl electro chamber pop” star was completed by the addition of third point Devon Fontaine on sticks and beats resulting in the smile-inducing demos currently streaming on the trio’s bandcamp page. Fans of Au Revoir Simone should enjoy ‘Japanese’. Similar to the effect my amazing pair of mittens I got for Christmas have had on my chilly little paws, the Velveteens have certainly warmed the earlobes on this snow-capped Monday morning.
