The G-Man Presents…Seamus Fogarty in Plugd Records

Seamus Fogarty

The very first G-Man Presents show of 2013 has just been announced…

…and I am absolutely thrilled to confirm London-based guitarist Seamus Fogarty will top the bill. The first G-Man Presents… showcase to feature in Plugd Records i.e. the greatest record store the land has ever known, will take place on the second week of February and will be a cosy, intimate affair with the master craftsman.

Following an appearance on the Irish Times‘ top 10 acts to watch out for in 2012, the national newspaper proceeded to adorn God Damn You Mountain, Fogarty‘s début record released later that year on Scottish micro-label Fence Records (also home to King Creosote and James Yorkston), with a 4-star review (corroborated by an appearance on Jim Carroll’s 33 best albums of the year so far list) which would help form a firm foundation for an exciting year ahead. Appearances at high profile festivals such as London’s Camden Crawl, Electric Picnic and a main stage performance at The Green Man coupled with a Vicar Street opening slot for King Creosote & Jon Hopkins and a UK tour with James Yorkston made 2012 a very eventful calendar year indeed. This one’s not to be missed.
