The G-Man Presents…The Depravations in Gulpd Café

Galwegian indie folk pop dance rock surf paper scissors band come to Cork…

Galway-based popsters The Depravations are taking début record Onwards, Westwards on tour with a special stripped down version of the quintet – becoming an acoustic three-piece in the process – set to visit Gulpd Café in less than two weeks time. The intimate confines of the Triskel Arts Centre-based café (located on the ground floor of the Tobin Street complex) should complement the harmony-heav[enl]y indie-poppers down to a tee. Admittedly, I’m cutting the announcement a bit fine but this one is going to be special. And it’s FREE.

Here’s what other lovely folk have said about The Depravations:

“The Depravations are set for a big year. Do yourself a favour and get this album, you won’t regret it.”
Goldenplec
“one of the West of Ireland’s hidden treasures.”
BarryGruff
“Gentle folky sounds with harmonies to swoon over”
Aoife Barry (The Irish Times)
