Galwegian indie folk pop dance rock surf paper scissors band come to Cork...
Galway-based popsters The Depravations are taking début record Onwards, Westwards on tour with a special stripped down version of the quintet - becoming an acoustic three-piece in the process - set to visit Gulpd Café in less than two weeks time. The intimate confines of the Triskel Arts Centre-based café (located on the ground floor of the Tobin Street complex) should complement the harmony-heav[enl]y indie-poppers down to a tee. Admittedly, I'm cutting the announcement a bit fine but this one is going to be special. And it's FREE.
Here's what other lovely folk have said about The Depravations:
"The Depravations are set for a big year. Do yourself a favour and get this album, you won't regret it."
"one of the West of Ireland’s hidden treasures."
"Gentle folky sounds with harmonies to swoon over"
Aoife Barry (The Irish Times)
