New album: Julia Holter

New loud sounds from Julia Holter…

…that turn out to be not so loud in fact. Loud City Song is the new release from the creator of Ekstasis and is Holter‘s third full length recording. To be released in August on U.K. indie label Domino, Loud City Song is technically the L.A.-based multi-instrumentalist’s first proper studio record and sees the former arts student – who performed at last year’s Forbidden Fruit in Kilmainham coincidentally enough (FF takes place this weekend) – mix minimalist experimentation and pop sensibilities into a nine track full length.
