That Galway collective have gone and built themselves a label…

“Citóg Records is an independent record label based in Galway City on the west coast of Ireland.” A simple yet honestly effective, does-exactly-what-it-says-on-the-tin summary, perfectly encapsulating the way the lads over at Citóg have thrown and will continue to throw themselves at all endeavours gone and a-comin’ down the line. Evolved out of the long running weekly Citóg night, the group have taken their tunes out of The Cellar Bar with both eyes firmly focused on helping to “discover, develop and promote musical talent from the west of Ireland and bring it to a wider audience.” With a theme-tune provided courtesy of So Cow, and a whole host of way-out-western talent already attached to the roster, Citóg Records already find themselves whistling a nice tune.
