The peacock party unfurls its feathers…
The loveliest little festival known to both man and woman has set the bar incredibly high for boutique festivals with an announcement that is sure to rival any alternative music festival in Europe. The initial line-up unveiling seemed a little light when revealed earlier in the year but there was always the feeling, backed by the fact that ticket sales were verging on selling out before the midweek announcement, that the EOTR organisers had something a little special up their rustic sleeve. Adding to the already unveiled John Grant, The Flaming Lips Wild Beasts, the Larmer Tree Garden festival has not only added Jenny Lewis, St. Vincent, tUnE-yArDs, Felice Brothers and Wye Oak the shock third headliner will be the U.K. premier live show of The Gene Clark No Other Band, an exclusive unique collaboration between Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally of Beach House’s, Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold, Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen, ex-Fairport Convention member Iain Matthews and various members of Wye Oak and Celebration who will perform The Byrds’ 1974 masterpiece No Other.
