Weekly Cork Gig Guide: 2nd-8th December

Elastic Sleep (Saturday – TDC)

This week in Cork: The Magic Numbers, Elastic Sleep, Hozier and more..

Dream-popsters Elastic Sleep return for a last show of a busy year in Triskel TDC Saturday evening with Roslyn Steer on warm-up duties. The Magic Numbers take to Cork as part of their Irish tour with a new darker album in two for all who come out on Tuesday for their Half Moon Theatre show. Read a recent interview on the blog with the gentleman that is Romeo Stodart here.

Wicklow warbler Hozier has just debuted at #2 on the U.S. Billboard 200, making the Bray singer the second highest-charting new artist of 2014 in the U.S. No wonder then his upcoming Opera House appearance on 6th December is completely sold out. Triskel Arts Centre continue the homegrown harvest with Bell X1 frontman Paul Noonan’s Printer Clips project featuring Gemma Hayes on the same night.
