Festival: Quarter Countdown

Time to let the Block knock your socks off...

Following a long, long January the daylight is beginning to hang around a little longer, apparently as the sun is a big fan of the upcoming, first ever edition of Cork's newest urban arts festival: Quarter Block Party. As they have been doing for the past weekm Southern Hospitality Board's Aisling O'Riordan and Caoilian Sherlock tell us two more top tips for the days ahead.

Who?: Jet Setter
Where?: The Black Dog Saloon & Mezcalaria (BDSM)
When?: Friday - 11pm
Why?: "Jet Setter write wonderful indie rock and roll songs. They make you dance and sing along and smile. For a good dancing time hit up BDSM on Friday night."

Who?: African Baby & Dirty Donkey
Where?: Cork Vision Centre
When?: Friday - 8pm
Why?: "The name alone makes you go 'what the hell is this?!'. African Baby & Dirty Donkey is a duo who, in their own words, perform DRUM BOX BASS HARD CORE HIP HOP NOISE. Be intrigued."
