Festival: Right Here, Right Now

Cork’s newest music festival unveils line-up…

Right Here, Right Now is Cork’s latest music festival comprised of a team-up between Cork Opera House and the promotions arm of Coughlan’s, recently crowned IMRO’s Munster live music venue of the year. Over 20 contemporary Cork bands and songwriters will showcase their songs within various wings and rooms of COH from 28th-30th April with confirmed acts including Mick Flannery, John Blek & The Rats, Shookrah and The Shaker Hymn and a special collaboration between Jack O’Rourke and the house concert orchestra.  Official word from Cork Opera House CEO Eibhlín Gleeson is:

“For a while now we’ve been looking in to ways to really be able to celebrate the diverse, thriving music scene in Cork. The city is packed full of amazing talent, bursting with creativity, and we wanted to provide a space and a moment for the city to really take in what an incredible community of homegrown artists we have on our doorstep. We’re delighted to be working with Coughlans Live Promotions, who are doing an incredible job in helping to develop and support artists from the ground up.”
