New album: Beaches

Motorik sounds from Melbourne…

Iconic Australian quintet Beaches unveiled third full length record Second of Spring in early September but I’m only catching up with the psych-rockers’ recent release now. The double LP swirls with crunchy sounds, finely counter-balancing wandersome instrumental trips with thrusting, direct krautrock tracks. The only negative that springs to mind is how much it’s going to cost to ship from the southern hemisphere. Anyone off to Oz for the winter? Go see Beaches (and keep record-shaped room in the suitcase).
