Ryley Walker releases new album Course in Fable

low trees favourite Ryley Walker returns with latest long-player Course in Fable. Self-released on his own label Husky Pants Records earlier in April, the Chicagoan guitarist has emerged from the dark with a celebration of prog and folk-rock with his sixth* studio album. Featuring long-term collaborator Ryan Jewell on drums and pal Bill McKay on additional guitar and keys, the record feels full of renewed energy, dappled with Walker’s exquisite guitar. With 2017 being a highlight year for low trees/The G-Man presents concerts including two intimate sessions with Ryley Walker in Cork, here’s hoping to Ryley getting back to Ireland some stage soon for another couple of concerts to showcase the new tunes.

*including 2018’s Dave Matthews Band covers collection (or tenth if counting the Bill McKay, Kikagaku Moyo, Charles Rumback releases)
