Call in for Cork Culture Night 2023

Culture Night returns to the streets of Cork – and the rest of Ireland – for the eighteenth edition.

Oíche Chultúir / Culture Night is a free national, annual celebration of culture, creativity and the arts.

Culture Night

Every year for the past eighteen, the Irish Arts Council officially celebrates culture, creativity and the arts in the form of Culture Night, where arts centres/galleries/museums and more invite everyone in to see what’s happening behind their hallowed doors. And it’s all FREE. In 2022, it is estimated that about three quarters of a million people interacted with, engaged and/or attended over 1,700 events across the island. 2023 is no different, with Friday 22nd September officially marked as 2023’s Oíche Chultúir / Culture Night.

Later on Culture Night

The Crawford Art Gallery could claim the title of Culture Night Cork’s capital with art workshops, film screenings and more complementing the current exhibitions. Music will also fill the gallery halls from 5pm featuring Spanish guitar, classical trios and more. A very welcome addition is the Late Night programme, featuring poetry and conversations. The theatre will also feature contemporary music video screenings, as selected by Vicky Langan. Elaine Howley (10.10pm) and Trick Mist (9.15pm) will round off the night performances.
