Cork gig guide: 28th October-2nd November 2015

Simone Felice (Fri, Coughlan’s)

This week in Cork: Simone Felice, Inni-K and more.

As the jazz gently passes into the winter, it falls to the foragers of all that is folk to take us into November. Inni-K and Simone Felice play back-to-back in Coughlan’s on Thursday and Friday night respectively, both songwriters touring new albums. Sandwiched inbetween is an appearance by Cork’s very own Ger Wolfe for an afternoon concert in UCC’s Aula Maxima on Friday at 1.10pm. Can there be a nicer way to spend a lunchtime than feasting on the earthly songs of Ger?

Rocking it up a little later in the week are The Waterboys who visit Cork Opera House Saturday evening whilst local indie-rockers The Shaker Hymn play a very intimate show upstairs in Triskel TDC that same night so options, options, options.

NOTE: There’ll be no gig guide next week as I am away with no time to prepare anything but check out the listings to keep up to date. Early November belongs to Cork Film Festival anyway so make sure to check out their programme over on www.corkfilmfest.org

Also going down around town this week:
