Wexford woman Laura Hyland lies at the heart of Clang Sayne, a folk-art collective described by The Wire as “exhilarating in its refusal to conform.” Formed in London in 2008 and now based in back in Ireland, guitarist and singer Hyland is joined by vocalist Judith Ring, jazz drummer Matthew Jacobson (Ensemble Eriu) and bass clarinetist Carolyn Goodwin. The Round Soul of the World is their new record with a scheduled release date of 23rd March which will see the band head out on a mini-tour of Ireland accompanied by Donal Dineen on live visuals.

Directed by Belgian video artist Simon Arazi, click play below for an exclusive first look at the video for the achingly beautiful single, ‘Curse you Mocking Moon.’

Upcoming Clang Sayne tour dates:

  • Fri 24th March – Fumbally Stables, Dublin
  • Sat 25th March – Black Gate Cultural Centre, Galway
