Sounds From a Safe Harbour announce first 2023 headliners

Sounds From a Safe Harbour, Cork’s autumnal, biennial(-ish) music festival, has announced the first headliners for the 2023 edition of the music gathering. Heavy-hitters announced this morning include alt-country veterans Wilco, Canadian indie musician Feist and folk supergroup Bonny Light Horseman (featuring Anais Mitchell, Eric D. Johnson and Josh Kaufman). The latter will team up with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, a collaborative concert that forms an integral part of the festival’s DNA.

Centred around Cork Opera House and curated by Festival Director Mary Hickson, Bryce and Aaron Dessner of The National, actor Cillian Murphy and playwright Enda Walsh, Sounds From a Safe Harbour will take place from Thursday, September 7th, until Sunday, September 10th. Award-winning folk duo Ye Vagabonds will also feature as part of the festival’s yet-to-be-announced residency programme.

  • Sounds From a Safe Harbour will take place in Cork from 7th-10th September.
