The Cork Music Show: 13th April

Former Monarchs see out the last episode of the The Cork Music Show season…

It’s difficult to comprehend that the 2013/’14 season of CCCR100.5FM has been and gone. The past nine months on The Cork Music with Suzy D and myself have seen the show doubled in length to two hours, include hours of incredible new music all pulled from the talented reservoir that is Cork city and county and feature a whole array of wonderful guests such as Rory Francis O’Brien, Rory Francis O’Brien, Anna Mitchell, The Vincent(s), the We Play Here team, LOWmountain and more. For a full list of podcasts for previous shows simply click here.

To help us see out the latest season, Barry and Damien of Cork quartet Former Monarchs were in the studio to chose some songs from their excellent début record The Cost of Living and surprise us with the very first copy of the album to be handed out to the public. The show also featured the very first play of ‘Dig Early’ the new 10″ single on the way from The Altered Hours and another new track from Elastic Sleep‘s upcoming EP, Leave You.

Stream the show in full for a limited time period using the player below.

The majority of the music heard on The Cork Music Show is available to purchase from Plugd Records on the 1st Floor of Triskel Arts Centre, Tobin Street, Cork
