Record Store Day: Capital Capers and Elsewhere Escapades (April 18th-April 24th)

Record Store Day, Record Store Day, Record Store Day – that’s what it is all about this weekend with Simone Felice, Tieranniesaur, Last Days of 1984, Hello Moon and more playing in various independent record stores across Dublin on Friday and Saturday as part of the fifth annual RSD celebrations.

Oregonians The Dandy Warhols are in Vicar Street later this evening while on Thursday, it is the turn of Jacksonville’s favourite son Ryan Adams – who was tweeting away like crazy from last night’s Lemonheads gig – to enchant Olympia onlookers with the prolific songwriter seemingly back on top form after last year’s set of Irish dates. If you’re feeling frisky afterwards get yourself to Whelan’s for the late show as When Good Pets Go Bad and September Girls team up for a double bill of exuberant pop fun.

Outside of the RSD madness on Saturday, the amazing Katie Kim takes to the altar in the Unitarian Church on Stephen’s Green on a night where the Waterford melody-maiden will officially launch new record – Cover&Flood.
